Your data here
This notice explains what happens to personal data when you use selectscoutmeadowre.com.
Who is responsible
The controller for personal data processed through this site is the site's administrator. The administrator can be reached through the contact page.
What the site does not use
The site has no user accounts, no payments, no newsletter and no online form that submits data to a server. It does not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, social media plug-ins or embedded content from third parties. It sets no cookies and does not use browser storage such as local storage. Details are on the cookies page.
The contact draft tool
The contact page offers a tool that helps you arrange a note as plain text. It runs entirely in your browser's memory. What you type is not sent to the site, not saved on your device by the site and disappears when you reset the form, reload or leave the page.
The text only leaves the page if you choose to copy it or download it as a file. What happens next is up to you: for example, if you paste it into an email, that email is handled by your own email provider. The tool does not ask for your name, email address or other contact details, and you do not need to include them in your note.
Writing by email
If you choose to write to the address shown in the footer, the administrator will receive your email address, any name attached to it and the contents of your message. This information is used only to read your message and, where appropriate, reply to it. It is not shared for marketing and is not used to build a profile.
Hosting and technical logs
Like most websites, this site is delivered by a hosting service. When your browser requests a page, the hosting service may automatically record technical information in access logs, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. These logs are typically used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. How long they are kept depends on the hosting service's own practices.
External links
Where the site links to other websites, those sites are run independently. Their own privacy notices and cookie practices apply once you visit them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you rights over your personal data. These generally include the right to ask for access to it, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use and, in some cases, to receive it in a portable form. To use any of these rights, contact the site's administrator through the contact page.
You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you live elsewhere, your national data protection authority can help.
Changes to this notice
If the way the site works changes — for example, if a new tool is added — this notice will be updated to describe it before or when the change takes effect.
